The information on this website is compiled and maintained by Arvas with constant care and attention. However, errors cannot always be prevented. Therefore, no rights may be derived in any way from the information offered on the website. Arvas accepts no liability for damages arising in any way from the use of the website, from the incompleteness and/or inaccuracy of the information provided on the website, from the (temporary) unavailability of the website or viruses spread through the website.

The website of Arvas contains references and/or hyperlinks to other websites which are not managed by Arvas. These are selected by Arvas in good faith and included for the information of the users of its website. General delivery and payment conditions
All our quotations, all orders placed with us and all contracts concluded with us are subject to the ‘’METAALUNIE CONDITIONS’’, filed with the Registry of the District Court of Rotterdam, as they read in accordance with the text most recently filed with that court. This privacy and cookie policy applies to any use of our website and to any personal data submitted to or processed by Arvas.

We take our obligations regarding your privacy and the processing of your personal data very seriously. We have therefore implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that the processing of personal data is secure.

We ask you to read our privacy policy carefully because it states how and for what purposes we process personal data. By providing personal data to us, you consent to the processing and where necessary to carry out your request or our agreement, transfer of personal data as described in our privacy policy.

Our privacy and cookie policy has 3 parts. The first part of the policy relates to personal data of (potential) customers and suppliers. The second part concerns personal data of our other relations. The third part is the general part, which relates to personal data of all relations.

Part 1: Privacy policy in relation to (potential) customers, suppliers and other contractors.

Collect and use of your personal data when you are a (potential) customer, supplier or contractor of ours:
Please note that we will collect and use the personal data you provide to us as this is necessary to conclude and perform any agreement with you. This applies to our (potential) customers as well as to parties from whom we purchase goods and/or services.

If you are a customer or potential customer of ours, we will use your data to be able to send you a quotation, to determine the specifications or requirements for a particular item or service, to deliver items or perform work for you, to invoice you and to communicate with you smoothly and efficiently about the implementation aspects of the agreement.

If you are a (potential) supplier or other contractor, your personal data are also necessary for the conclusion and execution of the agreement. In the case of purchasing, this is necessary to be able to let you know what specifications or wishes we have for a certain product or service, to be able to send you a request for a quotation or place an order with you, to pay your invoices and to be able to communicate with you smoothly and efficiently about other aspects of the agreement.

You are not required to provide us with your personal data. However, if you do not provide us with any or sufficient personal data, we may not be able to carry out the aforementioned work.

Direct marketing
If you order from us, or if you have given us permission to do so, we will retain and use the personal data you provide in order to inform you personally by e-mail or telephone about our existing and new products and services in the future, and possibly to make you an offer for them. Each time we send you an advertising mailing, you have the opportunity to let us know that you no longer wish to receive it. See the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each mailing.

Transmission on to third parties
In connection with the execution of a possible agreement with you, it is possible that we have to provide your personal data to parties who supply us with parts, materials and products or who perform activities on our behalf. We also make use of external server space for the storage of (parts of) our sales and purchase administration, which may include your personal data. Your personal data will be provided to our server room provider. Furthermore, we use Microsoft Office, Salesforce and their storage facilities for e-mails and other files. Finally, because we use a newsletter mailing service, your personal data is passed on to the provider of this service.

Storage period personal data
If you have requested a quotation from us but you have not become a customer of ours, we will delete your data no later than 31 December in the year following our last contact. Similarly, if we have received a quotation from you, but you have not become a customer of ours, your personal data will be removed no later than 31 December in the year following our last contact. If you did become a customer of ours or we of yours, we will retain your personal data for the duration of seven years after the end of the financial year in which the agreement with you was fully executed. The period of seven years corresponds to the period during which we are obliged to keep our records for the Tax Authorities. At the end of this period, we will delete your personal data.

Rewards program
If you participate in our rewards program we will use the information you provide to perform the rewards program, including (but not limited to) sending e-mails and sending the articles you ordered to your address. We keep the data up to 1 year after we have stopped the rewards program or until you unsubscribe from the rewards program. This rewards program is leaded by Hokra B.V. We have concluded a processing agreement with them. All terms and conditions in this cookie and privacy statement apply to the rewards program.

Part 2: Privacy policy regarding relationships that are not (potential) customers or suppliers.

Collect and use of your personal data when you’re not a (potential) customer or supplier of ours:
Please note that we will collect and use the personal data you provide us with either because you have given your consent or because it is necessary for the furtherance of our legitimate interests. We process the following data: name, address and contact details.

If you are a relation of ours, we use your data to be able to contact you for purposes that are in the interest of our company. This includes, for example, discussing a possible cooperation, providing and obtaining information and maintaining our network.

You are not obliged to provide us with your personal data. If you do not provide us with any or sufficient personal data, however, it is possible that we will not be able to carry out the aforementioned purposes. Your data will be deleted at the latest on 31 December in the year following our last contact.

Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit our website. These text files store information that can be recognized by the website on a later visit.

Our website uses tracking cookies if you have given us permission to do so. We do this to collect information about your internet behavior so that we can make you targeted offers for products or services. You may withdraw your consent at any time. Your data will be removed on 31 December one year after the last contact.
